The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm vs The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser: Which is better?

differences between oat cleanser and squalane cleanser on a white table with white flowen in the back

How The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm works?

🌿 @theinkeylist Oat Cleansing Balm – works so well because of two key ingredients: oat kernel oil and colloidal oatmeal. The oat kernel oil is noncomedogenic (meaning it won’t clog your pores as it dissolve makeup and grime), it contains naturally occurring antioxidants, and because it’s a humectant, it’s an excellent hydrator. Colloidal oatmeal is excellent at cleansing the skin and is known for having soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

What’s the texture?

The texture of this balm is thick and has a slight graininess to it, which m, once worked into the skin, dissolves easily.

This cleanser is unscented, which I love and very affordable 9.99 $.

It effectively removes all of my makeup, doesn’t cause irritation, it’s really good for sensitive skin.

How The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser works?

🌿 @deciem Squalane Cleanser contains squalane, lipophilic, and emulsifying sucrose esters ingredients. It’s suitable for all skin types.

This product looks like moisturiser when you squeeze it out of the tube, but it changes to an oil consistency when you rub it between your hands.

The cleanser washes off really well and doesn’t leave behind an oily film and my face felt moisturised and hydrated afterwards. I didn’t experienced any irritation.

This one also is unscented and affordable 7.99 $ .

What should you choose between them?

Well is hard for me to choose a favourite from this too, but @theinkeylist formula and texture works much better for me! 🤍

CeraVe Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser

For a month I tested the new @cerave Hydrating Foaming Oil Cleanser that is formulated to be ultra-mild, yet effective in cleansing the skin of dirt, oil and pollution with moisturising the skin. 💦

Specifically formulated for?

This foaming formula is suitable for delicate skin and skin prone to mild eczema. It contains 3 ceramides to help strengthen and maintain the skin barrier, and triglycerides and squalane oil to help replenish natural skin’s lipids, suitable for normal to dry skin on the face of body.

You’ve seen on my IG that I am a big fan of Cerave, and I was really excited to try their new product.

Some of my favourite points about this product:

  • the texture is gel-like and really hydrating without dry out my skin
  • one pump is enough for my whole face, neck and chest
  • it is good for double cleansing and every day use
  • the quantity for the price 26.99 $ for 473 ml

The only thing I would note is that you’ll still have to use a separate makeup remover, as this isn’t that effective as dissolving makeup and definitely won’t help you take off the waterproof mascara !

This is a nice gentle everyday cleanser, without any irritation. It is also fragrance free, a huge plus. 🤍

Heimish All Clean Balm vs Banila Clean it Zero

Do you double cleanse every night? 💕
@heimish_cosmetic All Clean Balm and @banilaco_official Clean it Zero; they are my favorite so far, but there are a few things that I like and don’t like about them. 🤍

Heimish All Clean Balm

The balm-like texture changes to an oil cleanser upon contact with water to cleanse thick makeup without tugging or dehydrating skin. Hypoallergenic ingredients including shea butter, citrus herbs, fruits and white flower extracts make it suitable for sensitive skin.

🤍 Heimish All Clean Balm – it removes the make-up really easy and leaves the skin super moisturized, it does not sting the eyes. I do not like the herbal smell, it’s a little too strong for me.
It contains alot of essential oils in the ingredient list so it can irritate your skin or even broke you out.
Price: 19$ for 120ml

Major Ingredients:
Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, Polyethylene, PEG-8 Isostearate, Shea Butter, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Fruit Extract, Lime Extract, Freesia Refracta Extract, Prunus Serrulata Flower Extract, Jasmine Extract, Lily Extract, Edelweiss Extract, Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract, Rose Extract, Orange Peel Extract, Lavender Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Eucalyptus Leaf Oil, Tea Tree Leaf Oil, Mexican Juniper Oil, Boswellia Carterii Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, 1,2-Hexanediol

Banila CO Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm

Hypoallergenic cleanser comes in a solid balm form that quickly transforms into silky oil upon touching skin. The soft, lightweight formula dissolves makeup and washes away impurities without stripping skin of essential oils. Its papaya and acerola extracts help to naturally exfoliate and brighten skin with Vitamin C. Best for normal, oily, dry and combination skin types.

🤍 Banila CO Clean it Zero – this is my first cleansing balm I’ve used and I love it. The texture melts into silk, it takes off even the waterproof mascara without leaving the skin dry or tight. You need a very small amount for the whole face, my eyes didn’t sting from it either.
It contains fragrance so if you are sensitive to it, this balm is not for you.
Price: 22$ for 100ml

Major Ingredients:
Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, PEG-10 Isostearate, Butylene Glycol, Water, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Fragrance, Angelica Archangelica Root Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, BHT, Butylparaben, Epilobium Angustifolium Leaf Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Sunset Yellow FCF, Onsen-Sui, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Polyethylene, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Angelica Polymorpha Sinensis Root Extract, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Polydiethyleneglycol Adipate/IPDI Copolymer, Mineral Oil, Lithospermum Erythrorhizon Root Extract, Bambusa Vulgaris Leaf/Stem Extract, Synthetic Wax, 1,2-Hexanediol, Acrylates/Methoxy PEG-15 Methacrylate Copolymer, Rubus Suavissimus (Raspberry) Leaf Extract, New Coccine

My conclusions:

Both are amazing products, but also they contain some ingredients that are not that good for people with sensitive skin so also remember to check the ingredients list. 🤍
About packaging : I like Zero more because the jar is closing perfectly and no product can run out, and the Heimish one I have the feeling that is not really leak-proof.
